One of my New Years’ Resolutions this year was to have better follow-through when I say I’m going to do something. When I started telling people early last year that I was going abroad to do a semester of school in Mexico, I kept getting asked if I was going to write about it.

“Sure, maybe I’ll do a blog or something,” I said a few times in passing.

Now that I’ve been in Mexico for almost a week, I’ve gotten a few messages asking where my blog is. I guess this is where I have to start delivering on my half-baked promise.

A few times a week, I’ll try to post some picture and/or video to keep my friends, family, and secret internet stalkers up-to-date on what I’m doing/learning/ingesting in Mexico.

Don’t worry: I plan on keeping things pretty brief so that I’ll still have time to watch awkwardly subtitled versions of The Ghost Whisperer (starring Jennifer Love Hewitt!) and buy products off of television that I will never have a use for.

P.S. This, honest to God, is the lunch money my mom gave me at the airport. $30 US. It’s both adorable and excessive. Love it.
